Srikanth Day 1 Collections

Srikanth, starring Rajkummar Rao in the lead role, hit theatres across India on May 10, 2024. The film, which Tushar Hiranandani directed, is produced by T-Series and Chalk and Cheese Films. Besides being an inspirational drama, the film also promises to deliver an impressive narrative. The film opened with decent reviews at the box office and started slowly. Following its release in cinemas, the movie collected 2.25 crore net at the Indian box office, indicating a moderate to satisfactory beginning. With positive reviews and strong word of mouth, there are high hopes for a prolonged and consistent run for this film starring Rajkummar Rao.

Srikanth Bolla, the founder of Bollant Industries, is a visually impaired entrepreneur whose real-life story inspires. He has made significant contributions to both the Indian Education System and the Indian Business System, revolutionizing them in the process. The Hindi film recorded a 12.14% occupancy rate on its opening day. The previous successful movie at the box office was Shaitaan, starring Ajay Devgn and R Madhavan, which earned around 150 crore. Following that, there have been no other box-office hits from Bollywood. We must see if Rajkummar Rao’s biographical drama can exceed this collection. Despite not having any competition from other Hindi releases, Srikanth may still be affected by the Hollywood film Kingdom Of The Planet Of The Apes, which was also released on May 10. Although the two films cater to different audiences, the Hollywood film managed to earn 2.50 crore in India.

In a recent interview, Rajkummar Rao discussed his portrayal of Srikanth. He mentioned to First Post that he found a connection with Srikanth’s upbringing, as he himself hails from a modest background. Rao further expressed that he could empathize with the challenges faced regarding financial constraints and striving to fulfill ambitious aspirations.
