Tushar Hiranandani’s directorial, Srikanth, inspired by the life of industrialist Srikanth Bolla, stars Rajkummar Rao in the main role. The movie hit theaters on May 10, 2024. Although Srikanth had a slow start regarding box office collections, it experienced substantial growth in ticket sales on the second and third days. After earning Rs 12 crore in just three days, Srikanth maintained a steady performance at the box office.

Sacnilk’s early estimates indicate that Rajkummar Rao’s Srikanth experienced a notable decline in its box office numbers compared to Sunday, but it was a good number on the fourth day. The film, which features Alaya F, Jyotika, and Sharad Kelkar, garnered Rs 2 crore at the box office on day four. The overall collection of this Tushar Hiranandani-directed movie currently stands at Rs 14 crore Net. Meanwhile, Srikanth’s digital premiere on Netflix has been officially announced. Following the conclusion of its theatrical release, the film will be available on the popular streaming platform. Typically, a movie makes its OTT debut 45 to 60 days after its theatrical run.

Srikanth Bolla faced rejection from top Indian institutes due to his visual impairment. Still, he later pursued his education at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and established Bollant Industries at a young age. During an interview, Rajkummar Rao shared that he resonated with Bolla’s perseverance, grit, and hard-working nature. The actor mentioned that he could somehow relate to Bolla’s background, as they both came from humble beginnings. Rao also expressed that he faced numerous challenges in his life, particularly in terms of financial struggles and pursuing ambitious dreams, which allowed him to connect with Bolla’s journey.
