Jagapathi Babu and Anasuya Bharadwaj acted together in a social drama called Simbaa. The film was released in theaters on August 29th and became a big failure at the box office. Like many failed films that arrive early on OTT, Simbaa has also made its digital debut within a month from its theatrical release. Interestingly, the film is streaming on not one but two OTT platforms.
Amazon Prime Video, the big player of OTT, has bagged the digital rights to Simbaa, and the film was made available for streaming on September 6, 2024. But the latest news is the film is also streaming on Aha Video. Murali Mohan Reddy is the director of Simbaa, which deals with the concept of conservation of plants. How this concept is linked with a crime story is the main focus of the film.
Anasuya Bharadwaj acted in the character of a teacher, and her performance was appreciated by reviewers. However, it is not the same with Jagapathi Babu, as the senior actor got criticized and trolled for his bad performance. The critics and audiences felt that despite the film having an exciting plot and a few emotional sequences working well, it failed to impress as a whole film because of weak taking. Kasturi, Divi, Srinath, and Kabir Singh played crucial roles in the film, which was produced by director Sampath Nandi and Rajender Samyuktha.
