Manoj Bajpayee portrayed the character of ACP Avinash Verma in the movie Silence, which was released in 2021. Directed by Aban Bharucha Deohans, the film premiered on ZEE5. Fast-forward three years, and the creators have officially announced Silence 2: The Night Owl Bar Shootout. Once again, Manoj reprises his role as ACP Avinash in this upcoming movie. Filming of this sequel commenced last year, and it is now prepared for its release on ZEE5. However, the exact release date has yet to be announced.
The streaming service provided a sneak peek of Manoj Bajpayee reprising his role as ACP Avinash Verma in Silence 2. In an official announcement, the actor expressed his intention to bring back peace and order. Manoj described his anticipation for the audience to see how the story unfolds in the follow-up. He also aimed to meet viewers’ expectations and deliver another ‘engaging’ experience. While sharing a glimpse of Silence 2 on Instagram, the filmmakers penned, “Criminals ko dobara silent karne, ACP Avinash is coming back! Silence2OnZEE5, coming soon! (sic).”
Manoj Bajpayee takes on the lead role in Silence 2, alongside Prachi Desai, Vaquar Shaikh, and Sahil Vaid. The initial part of Silence delves into Manoj and his team’s efforts to solve a woman’s murder case—conversely, the sequel’s plot centers on darker secrets and unexpected twists. In the meantime, director Aban Bharucha Deohans expressed immense pleasure in working with Manoj Bajpayee, emphasizing that the actor’s commitment brought more depth to the film. “This installment addresses significant societal issues while maintaining the thrilling atmosphere that captivated audiences in the first movie,” Deohans added.
