Ajay Devgan and R Madhavan’s film Shaitaan has successfully completed one month at the box office, maintaining a consistent performance. The movie has garnered Rs 146 crore Net in India in its 31-day run. It is anticipated that the film will soon wrap up its theatrical journey just below the 150 Cr mark, as the numbers for the film have come down considerably.
The deficit was caused by movies such as Crew, Article 370, and Madgaon Express, which were also well-received by the viewers. Shaitaan faces a challenging path ahead with the simultaneous release of two major films on Eid, 10th April. One is Ajay’s Maidaan, and the other is Akshay Kumar, Tiger Shroff, and Prithviraj Sukumaran’s Bade Miyan Chote Miyan. For 31 days, Shaitaan collected 146 Crores Net and 172 Crores Gross in India and the worldwide gross stands at 207 Crores.
“Shaitaan” is the authorized Hindi adaptation of the Gujarati movie “Vash,” starring debutant Janki Bodiwala. Discussions are currently in progress for the next part of the franchise since the movie has proven to be a lucrative venture for the producers. The movie narrates the tale of Ajay and Jyothika, a married couple whose daughter Janki Bodiwala falls under the spell of R Madhavan, who plays the role of the antagonist. Ajay also has projects like Singham Again, Auron Mein Kaha Dum Tha, and Raid 2 lined up.
