BREAKING: Bollywood megastar Shah Rukh Khan is officially returning as his latest action hero character Pathaan in an upcoming sequel, set to begin production in late 2024. SRK will reteam with director Siddharth Anand and producer Aditya Chopra for Pathaan 2, the 8th film in Yash Raj Films’ blockbuster YRF Spy Universe.
Inside sources have revealed that SRK and Chopra were eager to collaborate again after the massive success of Pathaan, which emerged as the highest grossing Bollywood film of all time in India. With exotic locales, high octane action sequences and signature charm of SRK, the creative team aims to replicate the magic of the first Pathaan for the sequel.
While the official release date is still under wraps, pre-production work on Pathaan 2 will likely begin towards the end of 2024 once SRK wraps up his other acting commitments. Rumor has it that Deepika Padukone will also reprise her role as Pathaan’s leading lady. The sequel promises to be bigger and better, with never seen before stunts and perhaps even cameo appearances from other YRF Spy Universe characters like Tiger and Kabir.
As SRK makes his much awaited return to lead roles after 4 long years, his millions of fans around the world are bursting with excitement at the prospect of seeing their favorite superstar back in his element as the dashing, death-defying Pathaan. If the prequel was any indication, Pathaan 2 mania has officially begun!
