The anticipation for the third season has now come to an end, with the creators officially confirming the highly anticipated continuation of the franchise.
The latest addition to the popular series will delve further into the intricacies of one of India’s most notorious financial scandals – Scam 2010 – The Subrata Roy Saga. Adapted from the book ‘Sahara: The Untold Story’ by Tamal Bandyopadhyay, this production is led by the renowned director Hansal Mehta. It is a collaboration between Applause Entertainment and Stu,dio Next. Making a grand reveal, Hansal Mehta utilized his official social media platform to unveil a teaser of the show.
Scam 2010 narrates the remarkable journey of Subrata Roy, an unconventional entrepreneur, from rags to riches. During the early 2000s, Roy, known for his extravagant lifestyle, faced a series of allegations including fraudulent investment schemes and fictitious investors, which eventually resulted in his apprehension in 2014. Presently, an estimated amount of 25,000 crore rupees remains unclaimed under the custody of government authorities, highlighting the enduring impact of the Scam that persists to this day.
