The supreme court on Thursday posted the anticipatory bail petition of Chandrababu Naidu to November 30. The court also posted the Fiber Net case anticipatory bail petition to November 30.
The court said that the quash petition of skill development case is pending in the court. The court had completed hearing on the case and judgment is reserved. In this background, the court said that it would take up hearing on these two petitions on November 30.
Earlier, the court wanted to post hearing of the Fiber Net case to November 23. However, on the request of Chandrababu Naidu’s advocate Siddhartha Luthra, the hearing was posted to November 30 along with the anticipatory bail in the skill development case.
The court said that the quash petition on the skill development case is revolved around Section 17A of the Prevention of Corruption Act. Similarly, the 17A is also involved in the Fiber Net case, the court said and added that it would look all these issues together.
The court directed the AP police not to arrest Chandrababu Naidu in any of these cases. The advocates appearing for the state government and the APCID told the court that they would not arrest Chandrababu Naidu in any of these cases.
The advocates told the court that Naidu is on interim bail on health grounds and the government is aware of his health issues. The advocates also told the court that Naidu was visiting the hospitals and getting treatment done. As the facts are available, they told the court that the government will not arrest Chandrababu Naidu.
Naidu was gratned interim bail on October 31 and was asked to report to the Rajamahendravaram central jail superintendent on or before November 28. The court also told Chandrababu Naidu to submit his medical reports to the jail superintendent on his surrender.
