RGV’s movie centers on the Indian criminal underworld. An immigrant named Satya (Chakravarthy) comes to Mumbai in pursuit of employment, forms a friendship with Bhiku Mhatre (Bajpayee), and becomes embroiled in the city’s criminal underbelly. Satya (J.D. Chakravarthy), a sincere young man who journeyed to Mumbai for employment, finds himself entangled in the city’s criminal underworld to survive. Urmila Matondkar plays Vidya, a beautiful singer who despises the gangs in her neighborhood. In an attempt to win her affection, Satya decides to conceal his illicit ties from her. However, as a brutal gang war intensifies, this becomes more and more challenging.

Numerous reviewers lauded Satya during its debut, commending Bajpayee’s acting and the authentic depiction of India’s criminal underworld. Moreover, it achieved significant financial success, grossing ₹15 crore and propelling the careers of various actors, particularly Kashyap and Bajpayee.
