Salaar Movie Review: Intense drama interwoven with high-octane action sequences. Don’t Miss

In a triumphant return, Prabhas delivers a stellar performance in “Salaar,” a cinematic masterpiece directed by Prashant Neel. The film unfolds in a grand manner, showcasing Neel’s expertise in creating intense drama and suspense. The juxtaposition of present and past, skillfully woven into the screenplay, elevates the protagonist and adds layers to the political intrigue surrounding the Khansaar Kingdom.

Prabhas’s portrayal of Deva, the trained beast, shines with outstanding shots in the first half, while the latter half is marked by elevated scenes, setting the stage for a compelling sequel. The introduction of a friendship theme adds complexity, promising to play a pivotal role in the film’s second part.

One of my favorite scenes from the film is the coalmine fight, which sets the tone and reveals the beast within Prabhas. In KGF Chapter 2, Director Prashant Neel impressed with an outstanding car chase sequence, where the speed dictates the projection of the scene. However, in Salaar, a car engine sound dictates the fist punch, making it amazing to watch on screen. Credit goes to the music director Ravi Basrur as well.

Notable scenes, such as Shriya Reddy’s impactful entrance during the interval and the captivating zombie-like action between Prabhas and Prithiviraj Sukumaran, where casual conversations unfold amidst intense blood-soaked sequences, leave a lasting impression.

While the first half maintains its momentum, the introduction of characters in the second half, coupled with the Kingdom announcement, may slightly diminish the anticipation built in the initial scenes. Additionally, a more in-depth exploration of the friendship theme, beyond Eeshwari Rao’s role and repeated drama in the first half, would have added depth to the narrative.

In summary, “Salaar” delivers what action movie enthusiasts crave—a perfect blend of adrenaline-pumping sequences, intriguing drama, and a twist that sets the stage for an eagerly awaited sequel. The film is a testament to Prabhas’s prowess and Prashant Neel’s directorial finesse, making it a must-watch that truly justifies the ticket price.

Note:* It’s a personal opinion. It will not be based on it’s film run or the talk on the other side.
