Salaar follows the Tiger 3’s Route and will be released in Japan

Tiger 3, starring Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif, and Emraan Hashmi, has made its way to Japanese theaters. Following suit, the creators of Prabhas’ Salaar have also decided to release their film in Japan. The movie has been translated into Japanese and will soon be available for viewing. To solidify this announcement, the makers of Salaar have revealed a Japanese poster featuring Prabhas and Prithviraj Sukumaran. The Japanese version of Salaar is set to hit theaters on July 5th.

Salaar, starring Prabhas, and Dunki, featuring Shah Rukh Khan, had a clash at Indian theaters. Salaar hit the screens on December 21, while Dunki followed suit just a day later, on December 22. This clash created a buzz in 2023, and despite speculations of avoiding the clash, both movies were released simultaneously. Both films received critical acclaim and performed well at the Box Office. Dunki marked the comeback of renowned Bollywood director Rajkumar Hirani, known for films like Munna Bhai MBBS, 3 Idiots, and PK. The movie also starred Taapsee Pannu, Vicky Kaushal, and Boman Irani in significant roles.

Tiger 3, the YRF Spy Universe movie, was released in India and Japan without any competition. Starring Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif, and Emraan Hashmi, the film is now available on Amazon Prime Video, an OTT platform. Interestingly, it has garnered more success on the web than in theaters. As for the response from Japanese theaters, it will take some time to figure out. On the other hand, Salaar managed to perform well both in theaters and on OTT platforms. The Hindi version of the film can be streamed on Disney+Hotstar.
