It is widely known that Pan-Indian Star Prabhas and KGF Series Maker Prashanth Neel’s Salaar 2 is positioned as a promising pan-Indian action film in the works, building on the achievements of its predecessor. The second installment is preparing for production earlier than anticipated. Sources suggest that filming for Salaar 2 might begin by the end of this month, with a tentative goal of wrapping up by November. This indicates that the team will need to carry out the entire shooting process within a span of six months.
Although it may appear favorable in theory, completing the project within six months is considerably more challenging than it sounds. For instance, Pushpa 2 required nearly three years to complete after its predecessor’s initial release due to the extensive scripting and pre-production involved. Similarly, the execution of KGF 2 took a substantial four years.
With Salaar having been released in theaters just last December, the question arises: can Salaar 2 be completed by November, indicating that the sequel will be finished in less than a year? The logistical challenges include coordinating Prabhas’s schedule (filming for Kalki and Maruthi film) and producing a major event film within six months. Neel is recognized for his efficiency once filming commences, but even for him, completing the sequel in six months may be daunting. However, if he achieves this feat and actually releases the film next summer, it could become one of the fastest big-budget sequels in recent memory.
