Veteran Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan recently underwent elbow surgery at Mumbai’s Kokilaben Hospital. As per reports, the surgery was required after an old injury got aggravated during the shoot of his upcoming action film.
The 53-year-old star injured his elbow while filming a high-octane sequence for the movie. Saif said in a statement post-surgery, “This injury and the surgery that followed is a part of the wear and tear of what we do. I am very happy to be in such amazing surgical hands.”
According to sources, Saif had originally hurt the same elbow during the filming of Rangoon in 2017. The injury got worse recently prompting the surgery. The Adipurush actor is now recovering well as confirmed by hospital officials.
On the work front, Saif Ali Khan was last seen playing Raavan in Om Raut’s mythological drama Adipurush alongside Prabhas. He has several exciting projects in the pipeline including a Pan India film titled Devara with Jr NTR. Fans are eager to see the veteran star back in action once he recovers completely.
