As the IPL 2024 season gathers steam, the focus has inevitably shifted to India’s preparations for the T20 World Cup later this year. While several young stars are auditioning for a spot in the national team, one name that has struggled to recapture his previous form is Yashasvi Jaiswal.

Former India batter Aakash Chopra has urged Rohit to have a candid discussion with Jaiswal, advising him to temper his ultra-aggressive approach and play to his natural strengths of timing and placement.
With the T20 World Cup squad set to be announced in the coming weeks, Jaiswal’s form has become a pressing concern for the selectors. Though he remains a frontrunner for the opening slot, the emergence of talented alternatives like Abhishek Sharma and Ruturaj Gaikwad means Jaiswal cannot afford any more stumbles. Rohit’s intervention could prove crucial in helping the young star rediscover his touch and secure his place in India’s bid for global T20 glory.
