Revanth to have tough time with five seniors

The Telangana new government was formed on Thursday with A Revanth Reddy taking oath as the chief minister. He is the second chief minister of the state after K Chandrasekhar Rao who was in the office for two terms.

Apart from Revanth Reddy, there were 11 ministers who took oath on the day at L B Stadium. Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, N Uttam Kumar Reddy, Komatireddy Venkata Reddy, Damodara Rajanarasimha and Ponnam Prabhakar are the five senior leaders in the cabinet.

Bhatti Vikramarka was made the deputy chief minister, while Uttam Kumar Reddy was made the home minister, Venkat Reddy was made municipal minister, Rajanarasimha was made health minister and Ponnam Prabhakar was made BC welfare minister.

Of these five, Bhatti and Uttam were the contenders for the chief minister post. However, the party high command had convinced them to be part of the new cabinet accepting Revanth Reddy as the chief minister.

They took the oath and are yet to settle down as the ministers.

But the big question is that will these two ministers listen to whatever Revanth Reddy tells them in the cabinet? Will they accept Revanth Reddy as the chief minister and won’t they cause any problem to the chief minister?
Among these five, Damodara Rajanarasimha is a non-controversial man, and he may not pick up any fight with the chief minister. He is happy to be part of the cabinet after the gap of ten years.

The other minister, Ponnam Prabhakar is an aggressive leader, but Revanth Reddy can keep him under his control.

The others in the cabinet including Jupalli Krishna Rao, Thummala Nageswara Rao, Konda Surekha will follow the rule and go by whatever the chief minister tells them.

There are going to be another five to six ministers to be inducted into the cabinet. Revanth Reddy might take some time to expand his cabinet.

He might pick up his own men for these vacancies.

One of the important finance ministry is still not allocated to anyone and he might have his own man in the post.
It is to be seen how these two senior ministers would work with Revanth Reddy in the days to come.
