Pokkiri, directed by Prabhudheva and featuring Mahesh Babu in the Telugu version, is a fantastic mass and commercial entertainer that can be thoroughly enjoyed both in theaters and at home. It seamlessly blends emotions, humor, suspense, music, action sequences, and valor, making it a must-watch for all Vijay enthusiasts. The film encapsulates many heroic instances intertwined with poignant values, offering a complete entertainment package. Vadivelu portrayed the comedian role in the movie, portraying the iconic character Master Body Soda. Despite numerous action sequences, Pokkiri is renowned for its comedic moments involving Vadivelu, Asin, and Vijay. Several dialogues from the film have since become popular cultural references in Tamil.
Mani Sharma composed the music for Pokkiri, which included several chart-topping hits. Songs like Mambazham and Pokkiri Pongal quickly became fan favorites upon the album’s initial release.
