Ravi Teja, Harish Shankar film on cards?

Director Harish Shankar, who was originally occupied with the Pawan Kalyan film “Ustaad Bhagath Singh,” has temporarily shifted gears due to Pawan Kalyan’s unavailability for shooting, attributed to impending political commitments as elections draw near. Consequently, Harish Shankar is now set to direct Ravi Teja, marking their third collaboration. Their previous joint ventures include “Shock” and “Mirapakay.”

Ravi Teja recently announced his next project, helmed by director Gopichand Malineni, with SS Thaman as the music composer. Priyanka Arul Mohan is reportedly cast as the female lead. However, the film’s commencement has been put on hold temporarily due to disagreements between the director and producer over budgetary concerns. Despite the delay, sources affirm that the project is not abandoned but will experience a postponement before going on floors.

In the midst of these developments, Harish Shankar’s forthcoming directorial venture with Ravi Teja is generating buzz. This film is touted to be a Telugu remake of the Bollywood hit “Raid,” originally featuring Ajay Devgan. Notably, substantial alterations are expected to tailor the narrative to Telugu sensibilities. The film is slated to be produced by People Media Factory. Meanwhile, Ravi Teja is actively engaged in discussions with director Anil Ravipudi for another potential project.
