Ranveer Singh signs a Big Project with URI: The Surgical Strike Director

Aditya Dhar, who made his directorial debut with the successful film URI: The Surgical Strike starring Vicky Kaushal, is now gearing up for his next thriller. Ranveer Singh is all prepared to venture into an exciting journey with the director in this upcoming project. The film, supported by Jio Studios and B62 Studios, has recently been revealed with an impressive ensemble cast.

The film’s official title has yet to be announced by the makers, but it is currently known as Dhurandhar. Ranveer Singh leads an impressive cast that includes Sanjay Dutt, R Madhavan, Akshaye Khanna, and Arjun Rampal. Ranveer shared a collection of photos featuring all the actors and the director on Instagram, expressing gratitude to his fans for their patience and excitement. He assured them of a unique cinematic experience and promised a personal touch to this upcoming motion picture adventure. The high-octane drama is rumored to be based on actual events from the golden era of Indian intelligence agencies, which coincided with the emergence of R&AW. According to reports, every actor underwent extensive look tests to portray real-life intelligence officers’ characters accurately.

Previously, in discussions about the movie, an inside source revealed, “Ranveer is excited to explore the realm of espionage alongside Aditya Dhar. Sanjay Dutt takes on the antagonist role, with Ranveer Singh, Akshaye Khanna, R Madhavan, and Arjun Rampal portraying members of the Indian intelligence agency.” The film is reportedly being filmed extensively and has a significant budget. The filming process will last six months, ensuring intense action sequences and unexpected plot developments. Jyoti Deshpande from Jio Studios will produce the film with Lokesh Dhar and Aditya Dhar under their banner B62 Studios. The director of the film is Aditya. The principal shooting for this grand theatrical presentation has officially begun. It is important to mention that this will be the second major motion picture for national-award winner Aditya Dhar, following the record-breaking blockbuster ‘URI-The Surgical Strike’ which was released in 2019.
