During her speech at the FICCI Frames event, Mukerji discussed the challenging period that Bollywood faced during those two years. This situation severely impacted Aditya Chopra’s confidence. However, despite these obstacles, he bravely took the bold step of venturing into the action genre with the iconic Shah Rukh Khan, who had not explored this genre before the release of Pathaan. Rani Mukerji further disclosed that Aditya Chopra had several other significant projects in YRF, but he believed in SRK’s abilities. It comes as no surprise that Pathaan turned out to be a massive blockbuster last year. With a staggering box office collection of over ₹1000 crore, Pathaan secured the position of the second highest-grossing film of 2023, following another successful venture by SRK, Jawan.
Rani disclosed that witnessing her husband under immense stress used to disturb her greatly. As per the Mardaani actress, Pathaan proved to be the fortunate charm for YRF. The movie significantly altered the destiny of the production company, Chopra, and their associates. Rani further disclosed that her happiness knows no bounds following Pathaan’s success. She expresses deep gratitude towards her close friend Shah Rukh Khan and all those who dedicated their utmost efforts to the film.
