Ranbir Kapoor’s Ramayana to be made in two parts

The Ramayana project has gained significant attention in the Indian film industry in recent times. Director Nitesh Tiwari and producers DNEG have successfully cast Ranbir Kapoor, Yash, Sai Pallavi, and Sunny Deol for the roles of Lord Ram, Raavan, Sita, and Lord Hanuman, respectively. Filming commenced in Mumbai in March, and the team has diligently worked on the project. Initially planned as a trilogy, the Ramayana has now transformed into a two-part film.

Based on the information provided by Bollywood Media, rumors are circulating that Tiwari and his team are currently shooting a two-part epic titled Ramayana. This grand production features renowned actors Sunny, Ranbir, Yash, and Sai Pallavi. Due to the immense scale and magnificence of the film, the filmmakers have decided to divide the storyline into two parts. Interestingly, an insider has disclosed that the production of Ramayana Part 2 will commence simultaneously with Part 1, despite the standard practice in the industry of waiting for Part 1’s results before proceeding with Part 2. Furthermore, it is being reported that there are intentions to film a substantial portion of Ramayana Part Two before the premiere of the initial installment. The production team has scheduled a 350-day filming schedule for the two Ramayana movies, encompassing individual and ensemble scenes featuring the star-studded cast. The insider also mentioned that both Ramayana films are slated for release within the same calendar year.

Nitesh Tiwari and DNEG have commenced production on their two-part Ramayana and intend to complete it by 2025. The shooting for both parts will conclude in December 2025, followed by the commencement of post-production. In order to maintain a consistent appearance for the performers throughout the film, the production team has strategically planned the schedules sequentially. Additionally, they mentioned that the release date of Ramayana will be unveiled during the filming of the first part.
