Prithviraj Sukumaran talks about Bade Miyan Chote Miyan

Prithviraj Sukumaran’s masked appearance and the prominent appearance of Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff have created immense anticipation for Bade Miyan Chote Miyan. This movie is expected to be one of the most highly anticipated releases of the year. It is noteworthy that Prithviraj, a renowned Malayalam actor-filmmaker, has taken on the antagonist role in this Ali Abbas Zafar-directed film, which has come as a surprising decision. As the film’s release date of April 10, 2024, approaches, the excitement continues to build.

Prithviraj has recently shared details about his participation in the action-packed film, mentioning that his Salaar director, Prashant Neel, convinced him to take on the role. He also revealed that he was juggling between shooting for Salaar and another project. As an aspiring filmmaker, he understands the difficulties in bringing a substantial film like Bade Miyan Chote Miyan to fruition. Coordinating the schedules and availability of actors like Alaya F., Manushi Chhillar, Sonakshi Sinha, Tiger Shroff, and Akshay Kumar is crucial for the project’s success. Later, Prithviraj told Ali his inclination to refrain from interfering, fearing it would completely disrupt the entire plan. From the very beginning of the narrative, the story unraveled splendidly and left a deep impression. In his endeavor to bring this film to fruition, he detached himself and informed his wife, Supriya, and his manager. However, it seemed to the actor that the realization of this project was not feasible.

Prithviraj mentioned that he was shooting Salaar’s climax and vividly remembers discussing Bade Miyan Chote Miyan with Neel while being covered in blood. He enthusiastically talked about the film for about 10-15 minutes until the KGF director shifted the conversation and expressed his disappointment if Prithviraj decided not to take on the project. The actor replied with a “probably.” That night, something had a minor impact on one of his other films. Ali then made significant changes and reorganized certain aspects to accommodate Prithviraj. The director convinced him to spend 2.5 days traveling to Glendale in Scotland for a four-hour shoot, followed by another 2.5 days returning to his base in Manali. This incident truly showcased Ali’s attention to detail when it comes to working with the actor.
