Nara Rohith’s latest political drama Prathinidhi 2 was released in theaters this May. The actor who built a good image as an actor in the Telugu film industry took a break from acting for years because of continuous flops and returned to the big screens with Prathinidhi 2. He looked confident that the film would resonate with audiences, but unfortunately, the film became a big failure at the box office.
Prathinidhi 2 was released in theaters on May 10, 2024. Because of the film’s big failure, the makers found it tough to set a good digital deal for the film as no OTT platform came forward to buy the film’s digital rights. However, after almost 20 weeks from its theatrical release, the film has found its digital partner. Aha Video, the Telugu OTT platform, has bagged Prathinidhi 2’s digital rights. The latest reports suggest that the film will be available for streaming from September 27, 2024.
Popular journalist Murthy Devagupthapu turned director with Prathinidhi 2, which was made with a low budget. The film was a sequel to Pratinidhi (2014). Kumar Raza Bathula, Anjaneyulu Sri Thota, and Surendranath Bollineni produced the film. Though the film, Prathinidhi 2, had some good emotional moments and thought-provoking dialogues about society, it failed to impress as an overall film and became a big failure at the box office.
