It is widely known that the young director Prasanth Varma’s film HanuMan was a massive success at the box office, and all eyes are on his upcoming project, Jai Hanuman. However, recent reports suggest that before starting work on Jai Hanuman, he will collaborate with Bollywood Star Hero Ranveer Singh on a high-budget film.
The inside reports strongly suggest that this new project has been titled Rakshas and is said to be set in the pre-independence era with ties to Indian mythology. One of the leading production houses of the Telugu Film Industry, Mythri Movie Makers, will produce the film, and an official announcement is expected soon. Ranveer Singh is eagerly looking forward to working on Rakshas, impressed by the script and Prasanth Varma’s vision. Additionally, he is set to team up with Shankar for another major project this year. Ranveer Singh has lately seemed keen on collaborating with South Indian directors. Currently, he is gearing up for Don 3, directed by Farhan Akhtar.
It is being reported that Ranveer Singh will play a character with harmful and cruel shades in Rakshas, as the title suggests. There are also some rumors about this film which indicate that in the future, the character of Rakshas will be the main antagonist in Prashanth Cinematic Universe. It is widely known that in the climax of HanuMan, director Prasanth Varma showed that there is a battalion of demons who are ready to fight a war with the Gods. So it is said that the character of Ranveer Singh will be shown as the leader of all Asuras. However, these are all unconfirmed rumors, and if there is any truth, it will be known once Raksas’ promotional material comes out.
