Prasanth Varma and Ranveer Singh’s Rakshas shelved

It is widely known that Bollywood Star Actor Ranveer Singh and Tollywood director Prasanth Varma were scheduled to collaborate on the Hindi-Telugu bilingual film “Rakshas.” Recently, there were rumors that Ranveer withdrew from the project due to artistic disagreements, exiting after a mere three days of shooting, purportedly under the guidance of a close associate. Notably, it was Ranveer Singh who initiated the partnership with director Prasanth Varma for this particular film, leading Prasanth to adjust his Telugu project schedule to accommodate “Rakshas.” Though the fans hoped for a positive reply from the film’s unit, it turns out that the film has been officially shelved.

Ranveer acknowledged Prasanth Varma’s talent and expressed hope for future collaborations. Ranveer said, “Prasanth is a very special talent. We met and explored the idea of a film together. Hopefully, we will collaborate on something exciting in the future.” The director praised Ranveer’s energy and rare talent. He assured that they would manifest their forces together in the future. Prasanth stated, “We shall combine our energies sometime down the line.”2. Both the actor and director hoped to collaborate in the future.

Ranveer Singh has faced setbacks with his recent films, such as 83, Jayeshbhai Jordaar, and Cirkus. While Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani was a success, much of the credit was attributed to Karan Johar and Alia Bhatt. Past endeavors like the Aparichitudu remake with Shankar and the Shaktimaan adaptation with Basil Joseph have unfortunately been put on hold. The loss of Rakshas signifies a missed chance for another potential comeback.
