“Twisted Relationships and Mind Games: A Perfect Fit for a Thriller”

After “Shaitaan,” it’s been a while since I’ve fallen in love with any film this much. I was just blown away by the sequel, and in fact, it’s even better than the first part. Let’s take a closer look at what the film has to offer.

Firstly, after watching the first part, I felt it was a pretty average film with bold content that faltered but picked up during the climax. I never thought it had the potential for a sequel. The makers surprised me with the sequel’s opening scenes, presenting a well-thought-out concept. The couple, played by Taapsee Pannu and Vikrant Massey, communicates through a novel for their sins during the climax from Part 1, while the puppet they thought they could manipulate turns into something more interesting through Sunny Kaushal’s character, Abhimanyu.

Sunny Kaushal was the star of the film. His characterization was well-written, and the hard-hitting dialogues, especially during the conversations between Taapsee and Vikrant Massey, stood out for me. The Giant Wheel episode gave me literal goosebumps; it had a unique treatment for a thriller, and Sunny nailed it with his performance. On the other hand, Jimmy Shergill did a fabulous job as a cop.

Hats off to the makers for adapting the novel and bringing out such engaging content, exploring all types of emotions that keep you on the edge of your seat in this nail-biting show. Director Jayprad Desai deserves all the applause for sure. The music composition by Sachet-Parampara and Anurag Saikia was also well done, especially for Sunny’s scenes.

Last but certainly not least, without Taapsee and Vikrant, this film would be nothing. Their performances and screen presence were noteworthy, but Sunny stole the show for me.

Overall Verdict: Trust me, guys! Every scene felt like a climax after the first 30 minutes, and the ending deserves credit for being a truly eye-catching thriller.

While the first part of the film focused more on bold content and intimate scenes, this time around, they played with mind games, which made a huge difference and made the sequel even better for me. There’s a third part as well, and I can’t wait for it. Netflix, bring it soon!
