Paruvu, the newest Telugu web series, has garnered widespread attention since the creators unveiled its intense trailer. Naresh Agastya and Nivetha Pethuraj take on the lead roles in this series, featuring renowned actor and politician Nagababu in a compelling negative character.
Nagababu expresses his pleasant surprise upon being offered the role, emphasizing the significance of the caste system in various aspects of Indian society, such as politics, jobs, studies, and business. He acknowledges that despite being Indians, first and foremost, it is impossible to ignore the influence of the caste system. In the series, Nagababu portrays the role of a village head, and his character as a cunning politician is of great importance. Alongside his political career, Nagababu has actively supported his brother Pawan Kalyan and his successful Janasena party in the AP elections.
Nagababu will deliver some controversial dialogues in the upcoming series, shedding light on the issue of honor killing. The show explores how individuals in small-town villages and various parts of India can resort to extreme measures to enforce arranged marriages on their children. Siddharth Naidu and Rajasekhar are co-directing the series, with Pawan Sadineni as the showrunner. Paruvu is set to premiere on Zee 5 on June 14, 2024. Coincidentally, another Telugu web series titled Yakshini will also be available to stream on Hotstar on the same date. Directed by Teja Marini, the series features Lakshmi Manchu, Vedhika, Ajay, and Rahul Vijay in prominent roles. The trailer effectively portrays the intense storyline of a couple who defied their parents’ wishes and now find themselves being pursued. Additionally, it highlights their involvement in a horrifying crime. The gripping presentation of these events in the trailer has generated significant anticipation. It remains to be seen whether the actual show will live up to the immense hype surrounding it.
