Story: Basava is a thief who wants to leave that job and settle as a stuntman. However, before that, he steals jewelry from a marriage and stumbles into a village named Bhairava Kona. He also loves a girl called Bhoomi, and she has a backstory. Basava and his friend face strange circumstances in the town and lose the jewelry they had stolen. Now Basava has to stay in Bhairavakona and fight against all odds to get back the jewelry. Why he is so adamant about staying there and what problems he faces during his attempt is what follows the rest of the story.
Performances: Sundeep Kishan did complete justice to his role and tried to excel in every scene. Varsha Bollamma performed very well, especially in emotional scenes; Kavya Thapar, Harsha Chemudu, Ravi Shankar, Vennela Kishore, and Vadivukkarasi were perfect for their respective roles.
Analysis: The film’s first half is a prelude to the second half, introduces many characters, and presents many questions before the audience. All the answers are present in the second half, and the director links the characters and threads very well. While the first half is more thrilling, the second half has an emotional touch.
Positives: Director VI Anand is known for making films with fantasy concepts. This time, he mixes the fantasy concept with Horror, Thriller, and love elements. He successfully created a few exciting episodes, such as the initial and interval episodes, the flashback in the second half, and the post-interval parts. The background music provided by Shekhar Chandra also helped the film a lot.
Negatives: The film somehow mixes too many issues which creates a lot of confusion. A few crucial characters and their behavior could have been shown much more clearly. The eerie setup in the first half looks good initially but loses its grip as it progresses, making one wait for the film to explode.

Ooru Peru Bhairavakona could have been a much more thrilling experience. Director VI Anand’s brilliance in a few episodes, Sundeep Kishan and Varsha Bollamma’s performance, and the exciting setup work well for the film, whereas the ups and downs in the screenplay and lack of emotions work against the film.
