No Telugu release for Bramayugam

Yatra 2, the latest Telugu film by Mollywood Megastar Mammootty and directed by Mahi V Raghav, has received favorable reviews since its recent release. This biographical political drama also features Jiiva in a prominent role. However, sad news has emerged for the fans of Mammukka. It is widely known that another eagerly awaited venture of Mammootty is Bramayugam, set to hit theaters on February 15, 2024, this movie has already created a lot of excitement. Interestingly, the makers have revealed their intention to release it in multiple languages, including Telugu. The trailer was also launched in Telugu and the original Malayalam language.

However, it has been officially confirmed that the Telugu version will not have its premiere in theaters as initially advertised. Instead, the film is expected to debut directly on an OTT platform. Despite releasing the Telugu trailer, the team behind Bramayugam has chosen to minimize promotional efforts in Telugu states, so the film will not be available in theaters here.

Rahul Sadasivan, the writer and director of ‘Bramayugam,’ has previously helmed the acclaimed film ‘Bhoothakaalam’ featuring Revathy Asha and Shane Nigam. The movie also stars Arjun Ashokan, Sidharth Bharathan, Amalda Liz, and Manikandan R Achari in significant roles. Mammootty is expected to portray a negative character in this upcoming film. Set in the dark ages of Kerala, ‘Bramayugam’ carries the tagline “The Age of Madness.” TD Ramakrishnan pens the dialogues for the film. Chakravarthy Ramachandra and Sashikanth produce the movie under the Night Shift Studios LLP and Y Not Studios banners. The film stars Arjun Ashokan, Sidharth Bharathan, Amalda Liz, and other talented actors in significant roles. Christo Xavier has been appointed as the film’s music director.
