Prabhas’s film Kalki 2898 AD is now streaming on Prime Video and Netflix. Netizens and fans alike are showering love on the film, enjoying it once again on their comfortable screens. However, the film recently faced controversy when Bollywood actor Arshad Warsi criticized it, saying he didn’t like the movie and called Prabhas a “joker.”
This comment struck a nerve, and Tollywood actor Sudheer Babu was the first to slam Arshad, taking him to task for his words. Nani also weighed in, stating that the actor who made the comment received more attention than his entire film career.
Fans were surprised that the makers of Kalki 2898 AD didn’t directly address Arshad’s comments. However, director Nag Ashwin responded indirectly to a fan’s post that claimed one scene from Kalki was greater than Bollywood. Nag Ashwin replied, “Let’s not go backwards… no more north-south or bolly vs tolly… eyes on the bigger picture… United Indian Film Industry… Arshad saab should have chosen his words better… but it’s ok… sending buji toys 4 his kids… I’ll work hard so tweets fdfs that Prabhas was the best ever in K2💪.”
Nag Ashwin also subtly warned sites that were attempting to create a divide between Tollywood and Bollywood, sarcastically saying that he would send out “bujji toy kids” to play with for all the haters.
