Nadikar, the comedy drama starring Malayalam Star actor Tovino Thomas, was released in theaters on May 3, 2024. Directed by Lal Jr., the film was reported to arrive on the OTT platform in June, but it did not happen. Netflix, the famous digital platform, bagged the digital rights of Nadikar for a big price, and it was reported that it will be available for streaming after a month of its theatrical release. However, the OTT release of Nadikar was delayed indefinitely, much to the dismay of fans and movie lovers.
The latest reports suggest that the digital reality of Nadikar has been put on hold by Netflix. It is being reported that the OTT giant decided to put the streaming of the film on hold because they had some issues/disagreements with the makers over the digital rights’ price. Because of the bad box office performance of Nadikar and the negative reviews it had received, Netflix had to re-negotiate the price. So, Nadikar will be made available for streaming online only after the issues between the makers of Nadikar and Netflix are solved.
Nadikar has Tovino Thomas playing the character of David Padikkal, who is a young superstar but with irresponsible behavior, and he finds it tough to get out of his past deeds. Directed by Lal Jr., the film was written by Suvin A. Somasekharan. Bhavana plays the character of the hero’s ex-girlfriend in the film, while Soubin Shahir appears as an acting coach.
