Chief Minister and YSR Congress president Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy had said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had termed TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu as the highly corrupt leader in the country. He recalled the statements of Narendra Modi against Chandrababu Naidu in the 2019 general election.
Jagan Mohan Reddy further recalled that Modi had called the Polavaram project as the ATM for Chandrababu Naidu and TDP. He wondered how the same leader is now praising Chandrababu Naidu as visionary? He also asked why the TDP and Jana Sena leaders are not asking the Prime Minister for the Special Category Status when Narendra Modi was seated with them in the election meetings.
Jagan Mohan Reddy alleged that the TDP, Jana Sena and the BJP leaders were betraying the people. They have come together not on policies but on opportunist politics, he said. He called upon the people to question the TDP, Jana Sena and the BJP leaders on the special category status, railway zone and the steel plant.
The YSR Congress president said that his government had been giving welfare programmes right from day one. The schemes were also implemented during the Covid 19 lockdown and promised that the schemes would continue only if the YSR Congress is voted to power in this election.
Jagan Mohan Reddy also blamed the TDP and Jana Sena leaders for spreading lies on the Land Titling Act. He said that the Act was proposed by the BJP leaders and wondered why they did not raise the issue when Narendra Modi was present at the election meeting in the state. He also pointed out that the BJP did not endorse Chandrababu Naidu and Pawan Kalyan’s statement on the Land Titling Act.
The chief minister said that the TDP and the Jana Sena were spreading false propaganda in the elections only to terrorise the people on land rights. They were also making false promises to the people, he said. He alleged that Chandrababu Naidu had the track record of going back on the election promises once the elections are over. He appealed to the people not to buy the lies of Chandrababu Naidu in the elections.
