Meiyazhaghan is having a good time at the box office. The emotional drama received extremely positive responses since its first day, and the responses are reflecting in the collections as well. After a decent first weekend, the film continued the flow, and yesterday, on Gandhi Jayanti, the film minted good numbers at the box office. The film also received positive reviews from Telugu audiences.
Meiyazhagan/Sathyam Sundaram sold over 70K tickets in the Book my show ticketing portal in the last 24 hours. For 6 days, the film gathered nearly 40 crore gross at the box office. With the help of excellent performances by Karthi and Arvind Swamy, the film is able to bring audiences towards the theaters. The emotional moments and fun parts are equally loved by the viewers, and everyone is praising director Prem Kumar, who made 96 earlier. Govind Vasantha’s music is also being regarded as one of the plus points for the film.
Meiyazhaghan is written and directed by C Prem Kumar, and it is produced by Jyothika and Suriya under the 2D Entertainment banner. Besides Karthi and Arvind Swamy, the film also stars Sri Divya, Swathi Konde, Devadarshini, Jayaprakash, Sriranjani, Ilavarasu, Karunakaran, and Saran Shakthi in supporting roles. The film was released in theaters on September 27, 2024, while the Telugu version, titled Sathyam Sundaram, was released a day later.
