After setting up a theatrical release date after a delay of over two years, Dhruva Sarja’s Martin is once again headed for postponement. The Kannada action thriller Martin was all set to be released in theaters worldwide on October 11, 2024. The makers were stuck to the date and stated that irrespective of the issues in post production or VFX work delay, they will arrive on the said date. However, the latest reports suggest that the film is going to be postponed.
Martin is two weeks away from its official theatrical release date, but the film’s promotions are not that great. The team released a song, teaser, and trailer, but other than that, there was no new promotional material from the film’s team. In fact, the romantic number was also released three weeks ago. The makers said they will release another trailer, but there is no update about that till date. There were reports about the film’s makers concentrating on selecting the distribution partners in India and overseas. However, amidst this, rumors about the film’s postponement emerged in the industry circles. It is also being said that the film’s final copy has not been finalized, and the censorship certification process is also yet to happen.
Martin’s producer, Uday K Mehta stated in a recent interview that the film will be released in theaters on October 11, 2024. However, with the recent reports of postponement, the Kannada moviegoers are uncertain about the film arriving in theaters and they are waiting for an official update from the makers.
