Manushi Chillar’s wait for a Hit Continues

In 2017, Manushi Chhillar brought great pride to India by emerging victorious in the Miss World Pageant. Bollywood has witnessed the shining success of previous Miss World winners such as Aishwarya Rai and Priyanka Chopra. Following her triumph, Manushi held high aspirations for her career in the film industry. Her debut film, “Samrat Prithviraj,” appeared promising, featuring her alongside Akshay Kumar in a grand historical epic. Regrettably, it suffered a severe setback and became one of Bollywood’s most significant failures after the pandemic. Similarly, her subsequent movie, “The Great Indian Family,” also met a similar fate and became a colossal flop.

She then entered the Tollywood industry with her first film “Operation Valentine,” featuring Varun Tej. However, her journey in Tollywood came to an abrupt halt as the movie turned out to be a massive failure. Her most recent film, “Bade Miyan Chote Miyan,” also had a disastrous outcome. In this movie, Manushi portrays the character of Captain Misha, who aids the protagonists in their battle against Prithviraj Sukumaran, a man determined to bring destruction upon India.

Manushi appears fashionable in the movie, yet her acting lacks depth and authenticity. Although she excels in specific action sequences, Manushi disappoints overall. Several Indian Miss World pageant winners have had successful beginnings in the Indian film industry. However, Manushi’s debut is marred by a series of four consecutive failures within two years.
