Mythri Movie Makers, the producers of Pushpa, brought the Malayalam hit Manjummel Boys to the Telugu audience on April 6, 2024. Despite a slow start on the first day, the film gained momentum through positive word of mouth during the night shows. According to the box office trackers, Manjummel Boys managed to earn Rs 80 Lacs on its opening day in the Telugu states.
Due to the exceptional word of mouth, there was a progress in the film’s collections on the second day, with the movie grossing Rs 1.4 crore, a commendable achievement. For 2 days, the film has collected 2.2 Crores Gross. The favorable responses have led to an increase in the film’s occupancy, gradually rising each day. The shows of Manjummel Boys have expanded in certain regions of the Telugu states. This week, Ugadi and Ramadan holidays will lead to a surge in occupancy for Manjummel Boys, given its current performance. Mythri Movie Makers recently acquired the Telugu dubbing rights at a reasonable price, and they are expected to turn a profit in the near future, according to reports.
The Telugu producers did not give as much promotion to the Telugu version as they did to the other release, Premalu. This is one of the reasons why Manjummel Boys took time to reach the audience. There won’t be many movies released in the next few days, so we will have to wait and see how this film performs in the Telugu states. In comparison to Andhra, Manjummel Boys is performing well in Telangana.
