Manjummel Boys gets a massive response on OTT

Although lacking in star power, Manjummel Boys, the latest big hit from Mollywood, has made a significant mark in the history of Malayalam Cinema as the highest-grossing film to date, thanks to its captivating content. Under the direction of Chidambaram, the movie can now be streamed on Disney Plus Hotstar in various languages, including Telugu. Since it arrived in the digital world, this survival thriller has received lots of attention and appreciation from audiences.

After its release on OTT platforms yesterday, there has been a lot of buzz surrounding the crucial scenes and technical brilliance of Manjummel Boys. Notably, two scenes are being vastly discussed and appreciated on social media. The first scene showcases a remarkable shift from the innocent childhood of Sreenath Bhasi’s character, Subhash, to a thrilling encounter in a cave. This transition has been widely praised as a cinematic masterpiece and is considered one of the most impressive in Indian cinema. The second standout moment involves the emotional use of the popular song ‘Kammani’ from Kamal Haasan’s film ‘Guna’ as the boys come to Subhash’s rescue in the climax. These two scenes have genuinely captivated the OTT audience, leaving some viewers feeling a sense of regret for not being able to experience them in a theatrical setting.

The movie showcases outstanding acting by Soubin Shahir, Sreenath Bhasi, Balu Varghese, Ganapathi S Poduval, Lal Jr., and additional cast members. It is produced by Soubin Shahir, Babu Shahir, and Shawn Antony under the Parava Films production house. The soundtrack by Sushin Shyam enhances the storytelling.
