Maidaan’s early reviews are out

Ajay Devgn’s film Maidaan is set to hit Indian theaters on April 10th, but it has already premiered in Dubai. The movie was released in the UAE on April 4th, a week before its Indian release. Initial reviews of the film have surfaced, indicating that viewers appreciate its various aspects. According to reports, the final 30 minutes of the film have particularly resonated with the audience.

Maidaan has been granted a U/A certificate by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). The film successfully passed without any cuts, ensuring no scenes or dialogues were removed. The CBFC only requested the addition of a disclaimer stating that the movie is a fictional work inspired by actual events. Additionally, the disclaimer clarifies that the dialogues are intended to dramatize certain events. Furthermore, the makers must include an anti-smoking sticker whenever a character is depicted smoking a cigarette. The film’s end credits will be presented in Hindi. Lastly, the duration of Maidaan is 3 hours, 1 minute, and 30 seconds.

Maidaan draws inspiration from Syed Abdul Rahim, a prominent Indian football coach. Ajay portrays the lead character, who brought about a revolution in the sport during the late 1950s. The film is set between 1952 and 1962, showcasing the dramatic events of that era. Priyamani and Gajraj Rao also play significant roles in the movie, with Priyamani portraying Ajay’s wife. Maidaan is scheduled to be released in theaters on April 10. It will be accompanied by the release of Ali Abbas Zafar’s Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, featuring Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff.
