Maidaan, Amit Sharma’s biographical film featuring Ajay Devgn, received positive reviews from the general public and critics. This sports drama, which depicts the life of former Indian football coach Syed Abdul Rahim, was released in theaters on April 11, 2024. Maidaan, starring Ajay Devgn, faced tough competition from the movie Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, starring Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff. Although it had a decent start at the box office, Maidaan initially struggled but later gained momentum. On the fourth day of its release, the film maintained a consistent pace regarding ticket sales.
Box office trackers’ early estimates suggest that Ajay Devgn’s film Maidaan experienced a notable increase in its box office collection on the fourth day. The movie garnered Rs 7 crore, slightly surpassing its collection on the third day. It is worth mentioning that Maidaan had a complete theatrical release on April 11, 2024, while paid previews were available for audiences from 6 pm on April 10. Despite Maidaan receiving positive feedback, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, starring Akshay and Tiger, failed to impress critics and audiences. The film did not receive favorable reviews from either group.
After a four-day theatrical release, Maidaan collected Rs 23 crore Net and 27 Crore Gross at the domestic box office. However, it is worth mentioning that the makers still need to disclose the worldwide box office earnings, including the collection from the fourth day. The OTT partner was recently disclosed. Following the conclusion of the theatrical release of the movie starring Ajay Devgn, it will be available on Amazon Prime Video. In the meantime, audiences can savor the theatrical viewing experience of the film. Alongside Ajay, the film’s cast features Priyamani, portraying the role of his on-screen wife. Zee Studios and Boney Kapoor have provided their support for this project.
