Ranbir Kapoor’s film Animal was released in December 2023, but now and then the discussion regarding the film’s content is going on on social media. The Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s directorial has been at the target point of many critics and Bollywood celebrities. The allegations about the film were it promoted toxicity and masculinity. Bollywood veteran director Mahesh Bhatt who also is the father-in-law of Ranbir Kapoor, spoke about Animal’s constant criticism in the latest interview.

Mahesh Bhatt said that criticism is like entertainment. He said that the makers are often targeted by some people who just sit and throw stones at performers. The filmmaker said that the life of performers and creators is subjected to getting used to the criticism. Ultimately, Mahesh Bhatt affirmed that it is the reality and one has to live in the parameters given in the industry, adding that one’s art should exist in unforgiving times as well. Recently, Ranbir Kapoor also reacted to the same issue. The actor told the entrepreneur Nikhil Kamath that there was a destruction created on social media during the release of Animal.

Animal went on to become a massive blockbuster at the box office and crossed 900 Crores Gross worldwide. Rashmika Mandanna, Anil Kapoor, Triptii Dimri, and Bobby Deol appeared in crucial roles in the film. Currently, Ranbir is working on Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana, where he appears as Lord Ram. Sai Pallavi stars as Sita, and Yash plays the character of Ravan.
