Mahashivaratri Unveils ‘Kannappa’: A Devotional Spectacle

On the auspicious occasion of Mahashivaratri, Cinephiles were treated to the first look of Manchu Vishnu’s upcoming fantasy drama, “Kannappa.” The poster, adorned with the tagline “The Bravest Warrior. The ultimate devotee,” sets the tone for a captivating tale rooted in devotion and bravery.

The intriguing poster showcases Manchu Vishnu in a distinctive avatar, donning long hair as he emerges from a waterfall, armed with a crossbow and arrow, aiming towards the light. This arresting visual hints at the film’s potential to blend mysticism with a profound narrative, promising a unique cinematic experience for the audience.

Directed by Mukesh Kumar Singh, renowned for his work on the Mahabharat TV Series, “Kannappa” is based on the true story of Kannappa, a devout follower of Lord Shiva. Singh’s ability to infuse a devotional touch into his projects, evident in his previous works, makes him a fitting choice for bringing this compelling narrative to the silver screen.
