Madgaon Express 2 on Cards?

Following the success of Madgaon Express, director Kunal Kemmu has addressed the possibility of commencing work on a sequel, Madgaon Express 2, shortly. He also revealed intriguing insights about the film starring Pratik Gandhi, Divyendu Sharma, and Avinash Tiwary. Kunal’s debut directorial venture has received praise from audiences in cinemas and on OTT platforms.

Kunal has been contemplating Madgaon Express 2. He said he would commence working on the movie only when he discovers a script superior to the original film, as there are now high expectations from it. Kunal cited the example of Andaz Apna Apna, which was a failure at the box office. He mentioned that people who watched it without any expectations were pleasantly surprised. However, he emphasized that now, with the audience having expectations, it becomes a different scenario. In addition to Pratik, Divyendu, and Avinash, Nora Fatehi, Upendra Limaye, and Chhaya Kadam also played significant roles in the movie. The actor-director refrained from writing the climax of Madgaon Express, as he preferred it to align with the director’s vision. “At first, when I penned down Madgaon Express, I did include a role for myself, but I had no idea that I would end up directing it,” he explained. Taking on the director role, Kunal revisited the script and revised the initial climax he had envisioned. The producers approved of the changes, and the altered climax was eventually incorporated into the film.

During the same interview, Kunal mentioned that he is currently involved in other projects within the entertainment genre. The actor is also set to appear in Raj & DK’s upcoming series, Gulkanda Tales, alongside Pankaj Tripathi. The show is scheduled for release later this year.
