Madame Web is now available on Netflix

Madame Web, the Marvel superhero film, is set to make its official debut on Netflix as a full-fledged OTT release in the second week of May 2024. After being available for rent on Prime Video, ZEE5, and BookMyShow Stream for a few weeks, subscribers can now conveniently access the movie on Netflix without additional charges. Netflix discreetly announced the arrival of Madame Web on its website, ensuring a seamless viewing experience for its subscribers.

Madame Web sets itself apart from the typical genre by delving into the unique origin story of one of Marvel’s enigmatic characters. Portrayed by Dakota Johnson, Cassandra Webb, a Manhattan paramedic, discovers her newfound power to foresee the future and realizes she has the potential to change it in this gripping thriller. While confronting the haunting memories of her past, she forms a bond with three promising young women who are destined for extraordinary achievements unless a tragic twist of fate intervenes. The film was helmed by SJ Clarkson, with the screenplay being skillfully crafted by Matt Sazama, Burk Sharpless, Claire Parker, and SJ Clarkson. The screenplay was based on a story by Kerem Sanga and Sazama and Sharpless. Lorenzo di Bonaventura took on the film’s producer role, while Adam Merims, SJ Clarkson, and Claire Parker served as executive producers.

Dakota Johnson is accompanied by Sydney Sweeney portraying Julia Cornwall, Isabela Merced as Anya Corazon, Celeste O’Connor as Mattie Franklin, Tahar Rahim as Ezekiel Sims, Mike Epps as O’Neil, Emma Roberts as Mary Parker, and Adam Scott as Ben Parker in the cast. Despite negative reviews, the film’s global earnings amounted to only $100 million, which fell short of its $80 million production budget.
