It is widely known that Superstar Rajinikanth has played an extended guest role in Lal Salaam, the latest directorial of his daughter, Aishwarya Rajinikanth. The film will be released in theaters worldwide in Telugu and Tamil languages this Friday, 9th February. The Telugu Version’s trailer was released yesterday night. However, one particular aspect of that video caught the attention of Telugu audiences.
There is no need to mention Rajinikanth’s popularity among the Telugu audience, which is truly remarkable. One of the main reasons for this immense love and adoration is singer Mano, who, through his magnificent voice, has brought Rajinikanth closer to the Telugu audience. Mano’s dubbing was often highly appreciated for his timing and impeccable dialogue delivery.
In the upcoming movie Lal Salaam, directed by Rajinikanth’s daughter Aishwarya, Rajinikanth played a crucial role. The film is set to release this Friday, and to everyone’s surprise, Mano did not lend his voice to the Telugu dubbed version of Rajinikanth’s character. Instead, the talented and famous actor Sai Kumar has dubbed his voice to the beloved Superstar. This surprised Telugu Rajini fans as they felt it was not easy to adjust to a new voice after so many years. For the unknown, this is not the first time Sai Kumar has dubbed for Rajinikanth. He lent his voice to Rajinikanth’s characters in the blockbuster films Peddharayudu and Baasha.
The film Lal Salaam’s ensemble cast is led by Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth, with Vignesh, Livingston, Senthil, Jeevitha, K. S. Ravikumar, and Thambi Ramaiah also joining the cast. Rajinikanth portrays the character of Moideen Bhai, while former cricketer Kapil Dev makes a cameo in the film. AR Rahman composed the film’s music.
