L360: Mohanlal’s film to be released in October

Mohanlal, the renowned Malayalam superstar, is currently filming his 360th movie. The esteemed actor is collaborating with Tharun Moorthy, the director famous for Operation Java, for this particular project. The film, tentatively titled L360, will also signify Mohanlal’s reunion with veteran actress Shobana. Initially, it was anticipated that L360 would be released in theaters during the Onam season of 2024. However, recent updates indicate that the movie is now scheduled for an Ayudha Pooja release.

Despite the initial plan for L360 to be an Onam special release, there are indications that the project may face some delays. Reports suggest that Mohanlal, director Tharun Moorthy, and their team will wrap up the filming schedule in a few days. Following this, filming will only resume after the superstar completes the pending schedules for L2: Empuraan, the upcoming sequel to Lucifer directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran. Unfortunately, the L360 team cannot launch the film during the Onam season in September 2024. Director Tharum Moorthy and his team have chosen not to hurry the release. Consequently, they have opted to postpone the release of the Mohanlal starrer to the Ayudha Pooja season in October 2024.

The Mohanlal starrer will potentially face box office competition with the highly anticipated Tamil films of the year – Suriya starrer Kanguva and Ajith Kumar’s Vidaamuyarchi. However, the producers are confident about the box office success of L360, described as a distinctive family-oriented movie. This unique aspect of the film is sure to pique the interest of the audience. The official title of the film directed by Tharun Moorthy is anticipated to be unveiled alongside the release of the first look poster in the upcoming weeks, adding to the intrigue and curiosity surrounding the movie.
