Kondal is the latest action drama from Malayalam cinema starring Antony Vargheese. The film was released as an Onam special along with Tovino Thomas’s Ajayante Randam Moshanam and Afi Ali’s Kishkindha Kaandam on September 12, 2024. However, the other film had a simultaneous international release, and Tovino’s film also had a pan-Indian release. The makers of Kondal have announced that the film will be released in the UK and Europe this Friday and revealed the theater list.
Kondal will be released in the UK and Europe on September 20. The makers are confident that the film’s action scenes and rich visuals will impress audiences in these countries. While Asif Ali’s Kishkindha Kaandam and Tovino Thomas’s Ajayante Randam Moshanam received positive reviews from Kerala audiences, Antony’s Kondal did not receive much praise, although the actor’s performance was appreciated along with superb action episodes and stunning visuals.
Also, it is being said that Kondal has already locked its OTT partner. The OTT giant Netflix has bagged the film’s digital rights, and it will mostly be available for streaming after six weeks of theatrical release. The film is directed by Ajit Mampally, and Weekend Blockbusters, the banner that backed last year’s blockbuster RDX, has produced the film. Kondal tells the story of Manuel, who takes the job on a fishing boat with a crew of around 15 members. The film mainly focuses on the situations Manuel faces because of those crew members.
