Kollywood’s Pan India Projects are set to shine in the coming months at the box office, with the first to take the stage being Vijay’s G.O.A.T. Despite the low buzz due to its lackluster album, the film is expected to turn things around upon its release on September 5th. Directed by Venkat Prabhu, fans are hopeful for a positive turnaround.
Meanwhile, the other three major films—Rajinikanth’s Vettaiyan, Suriya’s Kanguva, and Ajith Kumar’s Vidaamuyarchi—are currently facing a dilemma regarding their release dates. The filmmakers are playing a waiting game, coordinating mutually to finalize their release schedules.
Initially, Rajinikanth’s Vettaiyan was set to release on October 10th. However, with its release date in flux, Suriya’s Kanguva had to lock in its own date. As the Vettaiyan makers recently confirmed their October release, it seems Suriya’s film is now aiming for a November release.
Ajith Kumar’s Vidaamuyarchi, despite occasional promotions, still hasn’t locked in a release date. Industry insiders suggest that the makers are eyeing a Diwali release, which could put Suriya’s film in a challenging position. As Kanguva might miss both the Dussehra and Diwali festival windows, it may have to rely on a solo release in November to make its mark.
