Khel Khel Mein, the official adaptation of the 2016 Italian comedy thriller ‘Perfect Strangers’ has an impressive ensemble of cast that includes Akshay Kumar, Vaani Kapoor, Taapse Pannu, and Ammy Virk, among others. After working in action thrillers like Baby and Naam Shabana previously, Akshay and Taapsee reunite with this film which is directed by Mudassar Aziz.
The film was initially set to be released in September; however, the makers changed the release date to Independence Day. The film will clash with two other Bollywood films — Vedaa, starring John Abraham and Sharvari, and Stree 2, starring Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao. Stree 2 and Vedaa are also scheduled to be released on the same day, i.e., August 15. The trailer of Khel Khel Mein shows that the film focuses around the lives of seven friends (played by Akshay, Taapsee, Vaani, Fardeen, Ammy, Aditya, and Pragya). When all the friends gather for a dinner party, they play a game in a room where they ask everybody to surrender their phones. What was supposed to be a fun game scares everyone as unexpected secrets and lies come out.
As said above, the film features an ensemble cast, including Akshay Kumar, Fardeen Khan, Ammy Virk, Vaani Kapoor, Taapsee Pannu, Aditya Seal, and Pragya Jaiswal. Directed by Mudassar Aziz, the film is co-written by him and Sara Bodinar, and produced by Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series. The OTT partner and release date for this Akshay Kumar starrer have not been revealed yet.
