Khel Khel Mein is still struggling at the box office. Starring Akshay Kumar, Vaani Kapoor, Pragya Jaiswal, Fardeen Khan, Tapsee Pannu, and Ammy Virk, the comedy drama was released on August 15th, and it opened to mixed reviews from audiences and critics.
The film collected an average figure of 5 crores net in India on the first day. However, it failed to cross the figure afterward. Khel Khel Mein gathered a meager collection of 1 crore net on the sixth day. Overall, for six days, the film raised 17 Crores net in India. Directed by Muddasir Aziz, the film hit the theaters in a three-way clash with two other films, John Abraham-starrer Vedaa, and the much awaited horror comedy sequel Stree 2.
Khel Khel Mein’s disappointing performance at the box office comes across as a severe setback for Akshay Kumar. Sarfira, and Bade Miyan Chote Miyan were Akshay’s other releases this year which failed to get success at the box office. It is interesting to note that Akshay appeared in a cameo in Stree 2.
