Director Krishnavamshi’s masterpiece film Khadgam, starring Srikanth Meka, Ravi Teja, and Prakash Raj, is re-releasing this October 18th, with bookings now open and special shows planned. However, the reception for this much-anticipated re-release has been disappointing—an unexpected outcome considering the film’s previous craze.
Following the successful re-release of Murari, starring Mahesh Babu, Khadgam was also expected to draw a similar response. Unfortunately, the current booking status suggests otherwise, as it has failed to attract fans so far.
The primary reason for the underwhelming response seems to be the timing of the re-release. Khadgam is a patriotic film that could have benefitted from a release during significant occasions like Independence Day or Republic Day. Instead, the film is being released right after Dussehra, a season packed with new releases, leaving audiences fatigued. While the timing may be a missed opportunity, fans remain hopeful that interest will pick up as the release day approaches.
