A striking example of this is Srinidhi Shetty, who despite delivering two all-time blockbusters on a pan-India level with KGF and KGF 2, has yet to see her career take off as expected. The massive success of these films should have propelled her to the top ranks of heroines, but the reality is quite different. However, the latest news is that the actress has had the opportunity to act against Natural Star Nani.
It is widely known that KGF was a massive hit in 2018, raking in 250 crores globally. Its sequel, KGF 2, surpassed all expectations by becoming a record-breaking pan-India blockbuster with a worldwide gross of 1200 crores. Despite such phenomenal success, Srinidhi Shetty did not ascend to the top echelons of leading ladies as anticipated. Following her appearance in KGF, she took on a lackluster role in Vikram’s Cobra. Since then, she has not received any notable offers. There were reports of her starring in a film alongside Siddhu Jonnalagadda called Telusu Kada, where she was set to portray a supporting role to Raashii Khanna. However, there have been no recent updates on this project. Despite being beautiful and glamorous, Srinidhi Shetty has yet to achieve success. Netizens say this could be attributed to her unimpressive role in the KGF series, which may have had minimal impact due to subpar writing and execution. It seems that director Prashanth Neel also struggles with developing strong female characters, as evidenced in Salaar.
However, as said above, the inside reports from the industry circles indicate that Nidhi Shetty will play the female lead role in Nani’s HIT-3. It is widely known that young director Sailesh Kolanu has made two films in the HIT Series so far, one with Vishwak Sen and another with Adivi Sesh. The Climax of HIT 2 shows Nani entering the franchise as Arjun Sarkar, the ruthless Cop. Sailesh came up with Saindhav this Sankranthi, which starred Venkatesh in the lead role. Sadly, the film did not live up to the hype and miserably failed at the box office.
